Manifesting Money

7 Tips for ditching the debt

Being in debt is awful. There is no denying that.

It’s like you are in the ocean, and weights are being attached to your ankles. You can see a boat and try to swim to it, but it gets harder and harder to keep your head above water. You feel like you are going to drown.

I know this sounds a bit dramatic, but it can be what experiencing debt feels like, figuratively speaking.

Whenever you pay off some of the debt, you feel like you have freed yourself from a weight, but then something else happens that you need money to fix, or the interest rate goes up… and those weights around your ankles get heavier.

There is little wonder why it would appear almost impossible to maintain the positive attitude required when you want to manifest being debt-free.

But I promise you that you can do it!

Today’s article is going to cover seven things that you can start doing immediately to change your mindset and attract a different future for yourself and your family.

You are in charge of what happens in your life. It’s just a case of knowing what small changes you can make within your own mind to eradicate the current debt you are dealing with. Simultaneously, you will also discover how to set your mind up to manifest financial abundance in the future.

Are you ready? Let’s get started!

1.) Accept the past and forgive yourself

So maybe you haven’t always made the best financial decisions, but guess what? You’re not the only one!

If you constantly feel guilty and give yourself a hard time because of your financial situation, you have to stop. Regretting past decisions and feeling ashamed only reminds you of your lack of money. These negative feelings are the weights around your ankles, and you have to forgive yourself so that they will release you.

The Law of Attraction gives you more of what you focus on, so if you think about is debt and guilt, you will be given more of the same.

Accept yourself and where you are today. It may be that not every decision was the right one in hindsight, but at the time, you made them for a reason, and they have been a part of your life.

Every time you spent money, there was a lesson to be learned, and each purchase is a part of the past that makes you who you are today. Forgive yourself and accept that you cannot change the path you have traveled up to now.

However, you’re reading this article, aren’t you? Something has brought you to this page, and you are willing to try something different to break the cycle. This will change your future path.

Without going through financial difficulties, you perhaps wouldn’t be here and on the verge of transforming your future. And, I can guarantee that, without experiencing debt, it is impossible to truly appreciate abundance. Sometimes, although it is hard to live with duality, we have to go through the hard times to feel grateful for the good ones.

So, release yourself from the chains of the past and let the weights drop away from you. Concentrate on the present and put your attention on things you can control.

You may be thinking that this is impossible, and yes, it perhaps seems easy for me to say, but that’s why you’re here. This article will help you.

You can do a practical thing if you notice that you are dwelling on your debt and regretting the financial choices you have made; stand up and go and find something else to do that will distract you.

While it’s not ideal to try to manifest things when you have a low vibration and are feeling negative, there is always something that you can do that will make you think about something else for a while.

Start by writing a list of things that you can do at any moment that will distract your mind, for example, reading a book, doing a sudoku puzzle, walking the dog, listening to your favorite song, sweeping the yard, calling a friend, etc.

Sometimes the simplest of things can divert your attention enough to make you feel better and lift your vibrational frequency.

“Forgiving yourself is as important as forgiving others. Guilt is toxic, re-living the mistake over and over. Love yourself. Forgive yourself.”

Robert Tew
2.) Change your subconscious beliefs

The chances are that if you have a lot of debt that has been building up over the years, you probably have some subconscious beliefs that are driving this behavior.

As they are hidden deep inside your subconscious mind, there is no need to feel guilty or bad about them – you didn’t create them, and you probably didn’t even know they were there.

Often, our deep-seated beliefs come from childhood, from our parent’s behavior and values, the environment we grew up in, and the society that we now live in.

It’s natural that we adopt the morals and values of our parents as children, and then we are influenced by friends as we grow up, etc. However, when these beliefs don’t serve us any longer or damage us because they prevent us from fulfilling our true potential, it’s time to let go of them.

You can use several methods to release yourself from your limiting beliefs and rewire your subconscious mind to contain more empowering beliefs that will attract abundance. These techniques include:

  • Repeating positive affirmations
  • Destiny Tuning
  • Listening to subliminal audio tracks
  • Practicing guided hypnosis

3.) Who do you want to be?

When you have removed the limiting beliefs, you have a blank page so you can rewrite your story and recreate yourself.

Who do you want to be from now on?

Rather than the person whose heart sank each time a bill came through the door and someone who skipped payments, rewrite yourself as the person who is super-organized and on top of everything.

A great way to do this is to start a manifestation journal. Write down exactly how the new you will be. Write about your life as it will be and be as detailed as you can.

Journaling is like keeping a diary of the future. Feel how amazing it will be when you pay the last of your bills off, and what you will do when you have money to spare!

Here’s an example of a journal entry.

“I woke up this morning, and I felt amazing. Today is the day that I am financially free! I have done it! All the money that comes to me now is credit, and I have more than enough to feel positive about my financial future.”

There is no limit to what you can write – keeping it positive and try not to use the word ‘debt.’ Instead, use words for what you want rather than what you don’t want. Even the term debt-free should be avoided because it still contains debt and can put the wrong message into the Universe. For example, alternatives words are abundance, rich, prosperity, wealth, etc.

“Believe in yourself. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”

4.) Practice visualization

Visualizing what you want to manifest is a really powerful way to attract it into your life. It works because it creates an equivalence between your thoughts, feelings, and what you desire.

You can use visualization in many ways, but the following are the best for attracting financial abundance.

Allow yourself to daydream.

When you know you are not going to be interrupted, make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.

In your mind’s eye, picture yourself living with total financial freedom. When you have eradicated all of your debt, what will your life be like? What will be different? What will you do differently, and how will you look?

Enjoy watching the mini-movie in your imagination and get excited by the feelings as you see your future life.

Act ‘As If.’
This is a bit like ‘fake it until you make it,’ but you act as if you already have financial freedom. In everything you do, pretend and think to yourself that you have more than enough money to buy anything you want.

This technique trains your subconscious mind to align with your abundance goals, meaning that you will attract it to you faster.

“Flip the Debt” Game.
This is a really simple and fun visualization game you can play alone or include family members. It converts all of your financial commitments from debit to credit.

It’s easy to do – whenever you get a bill or credit card statement, rather than reading the figures as what you owe, view it as a check that you will receive! When you can pretend in this way, you will feel excited and happy each time you get a bill, rather than stressed and anxious.

What happens next is that you are putting more positive vibrations out in the Universe about those quantities of money, which means that you will attract them to you. In turn, when you manifest that amount of money, you can pay it off, which will indeed feel exciting!

5.) Spring clean your financial commitments.

It doesn’t matter what area of your life you want to manifest in; there has to be some shuffling to make space for what is coming. The Universe will usually make things happen that push this if you do not do it yourself.

It can feel traumatic and unsettling at the time because you can’t see the bigger picture, but it is all part of the process and will be worth it in the end. When it comes to manifesting financial freedom and abundance, you can make a start on organizing things, so you are ready for what is coming.

Doing some financial spring cleaning is an inspired action step that will indicate your commitment to the process. In the meantime, it will mean that you reduce your outgoings and can pay off some of your debt – win-win.

So, how do you do it?

Here are some questions that you need to ask yourself about your current financial expenditure:

  • What am I paying for that I don’t need?
  • What can I cut down on that means I spend less and have room in my life for what is coming?

It helps to make some notes on these things, so write your thoughts in your journal.

Some examples of things you could perhaps change are:

  • Your internet and phone providers. Often service providers have great deals for new customers. If you have been with yours for a long time, it may be worth changing. Do some research.
  • The same applies to household utility bills – can you change provider and get a better deal? Is there a cheaper option that you can buy when it comes to food shopping, or perhaps there is another store that sells a particular product cheaper? If you buy something often, it might be worth going a bit out of your way to stock up on something and make a bulk saving.
  • If you have things that you don’t use anymore, sell them on or give them away. Selling them will raise a bit more money, but donating them will also make you feel great, lift your vibrational frequency and attract more good things to you.

This step works in two ways. Firstly, you will have more money to pay off your existing debt faster, and secondly, you are getting ahead of the game in terms of manifesting what you want. You are creating room in your life for a vastly improved financial situation, and you have taken control. You will feel much more positive after doing this step, and your vibration will be much higher. The Universe will notice and respond.

6.) Break the shackles

As I mentioned earlier, the overarching rule of the Law of Attraction is that you get what you give out – ‘like attracts like.’ So, if you feel lucky, more lucky things will happen to you; if you feel joyful, more things will happen that bring you joy.

This is usually relatively simple, but a slight problem does arise when people are trying to use the Law of Attraction to become debt-free.

As we’ve discussed, people who have a large amount of debt often have subconscious negative beliefs about money. This is what makes them feel and manifest stressful financial situations.

Until this mindset and these limiting beliefs have been changed, there will continue to be an underlying feeling of scarcity regarding money. If someone tries to manifest thinking, “If I pretend I have unlimited money and spend it like I am rich, I will attract more wealth,” but have an underlying feeling of lack, they will probably end up with more debt!

The words sound positive at the time, but let’s take a closer look at this because it seems to contradict the ‘like attracts like’ rule.

Imagine that you have crippling debt, but you decide to do the above. You have a day going to all of your favorite shops, treating yourself, and sticking it all on credit. At the time, it probably feels amazing, but what about when you get home? What happens that night or the following morning?

When do the other feelings kick in of guilt, regret, shame, depression, anxiety, etc.?

So when this happens, the Law of Attraction feels that reaction as your vibration will plummet. The message received is that spending money makes you feel terrible because you can guarantee that these negative feelings will last longer than the positive adrenaline rush you had when shopping. And the result? The Law of Attraction gives you more negative experiences with money.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying that it is wrong to want financial freedom or to live abundantly. We have every right to create our lives as we wish them to be.

However, to break the shackles that have held you for so long, you have to remove your limiting beliefs (as we looked at in tip number 2) and understand that financial freedom doesn’t have to be tied to buying things.

Society makes us feel like we have to have the best version of everything in order to experience abundance, but you don’t have to go along with that!

Actually, you can surround yourself in abundance without spending a cent.

Take a walk in nature, and you can immerse yourself in it. Look at the billions of stars in the sky on a beautiful, clear night, or walk through a forest and admire the thick forestation. Notice how abundant and fulfilled animals are, and they don’t have any money worries!

When you can find and appreciate abundance through things other than money, you will manifest much more of it into your life.

7.) Be grateful

When you want to attract things into your life, feeling grateful for what you already have is one of the best ways to do it because it lifts your vibrational frequency to its highest.

Being thankful and showing gratitude brings you immediate joy because you are focused on the present.

Your intention and message to the Universe is, “I am grateful, and I appreciate the good things that I have right now!”

By living in the moment and being thankful, your vibration lifts, acting as a magnet. It draws in the things you want to attract and makes the manifestation process happen much faster.

I know that it can be difficult to feel grateful when you are anxious about your financial situation. However, if you can focus on other areas of your life that you are satisfied with and feel thankful for, it will still greatly impact the speed at which you will manifest money.

There is no end to the things you can be thankful for, including:

  • The roof over your head.
  • The clothes you have to wear.
  • Your health.
  • Your relationships with family and friends.
  • A good cup of coffee.
  • Finding this article at this time in your life.

Another thing to consider is the reason for your debt and be grateful for what you have gained because of it. For example, if you have a lot of debt from taking out a student loan, feel thankful for the knowledge you have obtained and how you have expanded your earning potential and future opportunities.

If the debt is linked to a large mortgage, look around you and truly appreciate the beautiful home you can live in and call your own.

The final way to amplify your appreciation to attract financial freedom is to be grateful for the fact that it is on the way!

Trust in the Universe and the process that is unfolding. You may not see it yet, but everything is working as it should, and you are being guided along the right path.

Always bear in mind that like attracts like, so when you are thankful and appreciative, you will be given more things to boost those positive feelings.

A financially free, debt-free life is on its way to you, so be happy and enjoy the ride!
